I am not the first lazy cook, nor shall I be the last. What I would like to do is blog my own faux cuisine recipes and techniques so that they are available to me further down the track - and if you find them useful, then good luck to you :)

My use of the term “faux cuisine” comes from my partner, Helen. I made the slackest possible variant of Pho Tai (Vietnamese-style beef noodle soup) for brunch this morning - I mispronounced “pho” as “foe” rather than the more correct (or so I am told) “fah”, and she thought it was “faux” (fake) - which suits my style of cooking to a T.

Don’t get me wrong, I do like to spend the time it takes to do things properly. Sometimes, there is not the energy or brainspace to make a proper go of it and I cut corners. The result does suffer, but it is usually within acceptable parameters. I’ve had a few suggestions for improvement but rarely any direct complaints.

So I’ll give you the benefit of my slackness - it might help.
